Princess Cruises and Cunard Line have added a secure “Bank Payments” to the POLAR Online booking engine, which allows travel agency owners to pay for bookings directly from their bank account. The new system allows agencies to set up one or two bank accounts, depending on business needs, accessible only to the OneSource owner account. The account can then be used to make secure online payments for select individual bookings or bookings within multiple departures or groups. The system also offers the convenience of submitting payments instructions anytime, day or night.
“They’ll be able to make payments much more quickly in one convenient place, plus receive a record of all their Princess and Cunard payments,” said Jan S
wartz, senior vice president of customer service and sales for Princess and Cunard. “There will be no more worry about cutting and mailing checks — and agencies can avoid the substantial overnight delivery fees for rush payments.” The new “Bank Payments” feature is available to U.S. and Canadian agents only through POLAR Online.
Once set up, the online accounts section displays a full booking list with
payment status, deposit and final payment due dates, and options to submit deposit amounts, partial payments or the full unpaid cruise balance. Agents who wish to learn more about the features of POLAR Online can take a course through Princess Academy.
