The Four Seasons Hotel Florence will open in spring 2008 at 97, Borgo Pinti. It will be in the restored and renovated historic Palazzo della Gherardesca, Conventino and Church with connecting garden. It is a series of interconnected historic buildings with spectacular frescoes, sculptural reliefs and artisan works with the earliest wing dating back to the late 1440’s. The property encompasses a private garden of 35,000 sq metres with rare trees, making it one of the largest private gardens in Florence.

Fashion label Moschino will open its first hotel in Milan in 2008 in the new fashion quarter now being built. The hotel will have 70 rooms, day spa and restaurant.

The old Palazzo del Poligrafico in Piazza Verdi in Rome will be transformed in a luxury 5* hotel with 170 rooms and 250 apartments. More news to come.

Also in Rome the world-famous architect Massimiliano Fuksas has been hired to design a new hotel in the up-and-coming Ostiense quarter of Rome.

Intercontinental will open the Milan Grand Hotel Duomo in 2008. The historic palazzo on Piazza Duomo will be restructured and transformed in a 5* hotel with 137 rooms and 17 suites, a new panoramic restaurant, a spa and 3 meeting rooms.

ANTONELLO COLONNA TO OPEN A NEW RESTAURANT IN ROME

World-renowned chef Antonello Colonna, chef-patron of the famous “Antonello Colonna” Restaurant in Labico, near Rome is to open a new restaurant in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni Museum in Rome. The restaurant will be called OpenColonna and will aim at offering quality food at accessible prices.

The restaurant will be located in the conservatory at the back of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni Museum in Via Nazionale in the heart of Rome.

FESTIVAL OF SACRED MUSIC AND ART, 10-13 October 07 in Rome and in the Vatican City

The 6th edition of the Festival of Sacred Music and Art will take place this year in the magnificent stage of the most important and beautiful basilicas in Rome and the Vatican. The Festival will host the Vienna Philarmonic Orchestra, the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Choir amongst other orchestras.
