On Sunday 27 April, Lower Regent Street will be closed to traffic and transformed into an A1GP World Cup of Motorsport grid with all twenty two nations’ single-seat racing cars lined up for enthusiasts to get close up. The event is free and will start with the roar of an A1GP car engine at 11:00. Take a pit stop from shopping; see the cars, meet the twenty two teams and a host of drivers who will be there until close down at 17:00.

A giant screen will broadcast a selection of A1GP’s high speed highlights and driver interviews from the 2007/08 season from the stage at Waterloo Place. Live appearances from Formula One racing legends Emerson Fittipaldi and Alan Jones will also be included in the line up.

The event will include display stands, interactive competitions and tyre change challenges at various times throughout the day. To mark A1GP’s partnership with Ferrari, two 599 GTBs, used as the series safety car, will be on display.
