Get Your Tropical Gear Here Travel Thru History will publish, in the July issue, the story of ‘SeƱora de Cao” – the mysterious tattooed female mummy that made it’s way to the cover of National Geographic magazine in 2006.

Much has been discovered about her since that time. Also in July, a museum will open at the base of the pyramid, where her tomb was located. The mummy and all of the golden artifacts will be on public display for the first time.

The tomb was found atop the White Pyramid, near the village of Cao, just 5 KM from Trujillo, in the northern desert of Peru. The excavation, along with several other archeological digs, is part of the Peruvian Government’s renewed commitment to preserving it’s history and safeguarding the treasures from it’s ancient past.
