Officially opened in November 1989, the 549 room Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is Hyatt International’s flagship property. Positioned among the finest hotels in the world and with magnificent views of Hong Kong harbour, the Grand Hyatt caters to the international business traveller by offering a style of service and range of facilities second to none.

The exterior of Grand Hyatt incorporates the boldness of polished marble and the strength of silvered glass: a combination that has set the hotel aside as having one of the most futuristic designs for a building of this kind. Even from a distance, the exterior of Grand Hyatt is imposing and destined to leave a lasting impression on the skyline of Hong Kong Island’s world famous harbour front.

In complete contrast, the interior of Grand Hyatt returns to the 1930s a period best remembered for its high society and Art Deco designs. The Lobby, for example, almost resembles the salon of an ocean going passenger liner of that era. With a view of the harbour set against an area tastefully furnished with period items ranging from furniture to fabrics, marbled columns to graceful statuettes, one could almost be at sea aboard the most luxurious liner imaginable.

Spa Days – Get Ready for Summer
The public areas of the hotel are, in a word, dramatic. Throughout the hotel, marble and granite from Italy and Spain, other quarried stones from the world over, natural foliage and water features, together with bold furnishings are used to create an environment unique to the Grand Hyatt. The abundance of foliage and use of water to create a feeling of space and harmony is a feature of the Lobby area.

More than 70 percent of Grand Hyatt’s guest rooms command spectacular views of the harbour said by many to be the most dramatic in the world –while the remaining rooms overlook the hotel’s 11,000 square meter landscaped garden. Aside from the deluxe guest rooms, the hotel has 16 Grand Deluxe Harbour View Room, 21 Grand Executive Suites, 11 Specialty Suites and two Presidential Suites. All of the hotel’s guestrooms feature a self-contained work station complete with broadband Internet connection service, a confidential fax machine upon request, cable and satellite TV

To further enhance the comfort in the guestrooms, coffee/tea making facilities, down duvets covered in Egyptian cotton bed linen, and enhanced closet space are also offered. The guestroom design, superior lighting and colour scheme work together to create the subtle ambience of a contemporary residence. Bathrooms feature all marble baths and glass walled shower cubicles, both with gold plated fixtures.

Grand Club Hyatt’s “hotel within a hotel” concept comprises five floors of executive accommodation and three floors of specialty suites at the top of the hotel serviced by private two lifts and affording a level of personalised service, the likes of which have rarely been seen before even in Asia. Grand Club guests have access to a private split-level lounge on the 30th and 31st floors, with panoramic views of the famous Victoria Harbour. The facility is staffed by a team of multi lingual guest services officers on duty throughout the day to ensure all needs are taken care of swiftly and competently. A team of professionally trained butler provides dedicated services and assistance to all speciality suites guests with respect to their business and travel needs. Three private boardrooms are available for the exclusive use of Grand Club guests.

Grand Hyatt continues this theme but adds the elegance of the past with the sophistication of today.”
