The Cayman Islands has emerged as the Caribbean’s top locale for kiteboarding. Cayman’s steady wind nearly year round and safe and shallow sandbars are equally suited to pros and beginners.
Top kiteboarding instructors from Key West-based Kitehouse are available to provide expert instruction. Ocean Frontiers, located in East End, works with Kitehouse to provide lessons starting at $250 for a two-hour beginner’s session. With a variety of package deals available and up to three lessons daily, kiteboarders of any skill level can improve their craft while in Cayman. Kiteboarders can also add a friend to their lessons for an additional $50.
The following packages are available at Ocean Frontiers: five lessons $1,150 ($230 per lesson); eight lessons $1,750 ($220 per lesson); and 10 lessons $2,100 ($210 per lesson).
