Smugglers’ Notch Resort in northern Vermont offers seven activity-based packages for travelers seeking to enjoy Vermont’s foliage season during the resort’s lowest rate period. The packages focus on a variety of interests, including family fun, golf, local attractions, eco-adventure, creativity, relaxation and wellness, and outdoor adventure.

Each package is available through Oct. 13, 2008. Among the offers if the AutumnFest Family package, which is designed for children up to the age of 5 and includes morning children’s activities on weekdays at the resort’s children’s center with full-day children’s programming on Wednesdays and Fridays and a Kids’ Night Out evening on Saturday. A daily selection of afternoon family activities is also included. Families who book three nights get the fourth night free.

Among the other offers are the Great Golf Escape, the See Vermont and Beyond package, the Eco-Adventure package, the Creativity package, the Relaxation package and the Adventure package.

Each package also includes daily guided nature hikes and walks, use of pool facilities (outdoor or indoor depending on weather conditions), mini-golf and disc golf, evening entertainment for adults and families, and use of a family game facility and video arcade, shuffleboard, basketball, tennis, volleyball and skate park. Lodging for the autumn packages is in mountainside condominiums sized from studios to three-bedroom homes.
