Throughout the last year, the 1,047-room Boca Raton Resort & Club completed a series of enhancements and transformations that took place in phases and touched all areas of the property including new public spaces, restaurants, and renovated and refurbished guest rooms.
The resort’s evolution coincides with plans for the Resort & Club to join the Waldorf-Astoria Collection, a process anticipated for completion in early 2009. Extensive resort renovations include public spaces by Thierry Despont, remodeled bungalows by Alexandra Champalimaud, an entirely redesigned Boca Beach Club conceptualized by Fiona Thompson and culinary additions including Morimoto, also designed by Despont; Serendipity and the Family Room designed by Jose Gonzalez Architects;
Old Homestead Steak House designed by Tony Chi; and Cielo by Angela Hartnett, designed by Bentel & Bentel. Premiering in Fall 2008 are the culinary offerings of Masaharu Morimoto of “Iron Chef” fame, who will open the first Southeastern outpost of Morimoto sushi bar at the resort, and the first Serendipity ice cream café outside of New York City, known for its decadent ice cream confections and frozen drinks.
Set to open in December 2008 is the entirely redesigned 212-room Boca Beach Club, located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
The Beach Club’s transformation includes a complete redesign of the entrance, lobby and reception area, guestrooms, fitness center, children’s activity center and restaurant, in addition to a newly designed pool area, including three oceanfront swimming pools, an oceanfront bar and upgraded cabanas.
The Beach Club’s enhanced facilities also include a new oceanfront ballroom and additional event and meeting space now totaling 10,000 square feet. Part of the renowned Boca Raton Resort & Club, the Boca Beach Club offers guests the unique opportunity to experience an oceanfront luxury boutique hotel while enjoying the world-class amenities of a full-service destination resort.
Another introduction to the Boca Raton Resort & Club is the new 24-hour Family Room. The space is furnished with large, overstuffed couches and chairs, flat-screen TVs, and tables perfect for puzzles and board games.
