Visitors to San Diego can find amazing deals at top San Diego restaurants during the 5th Annual San Diego Restaurant Week, January 11-16, 2009.

The six-day celebration provides food lovers the opportunity to explore the region’s exciting dining scene for a fraction of the normal expense. New for 2009, an even lower $20 price point on special three-course meals is available at select restaurants.

During San Diego Restaurant Week, diners can enjoy special three-course, prix fixe dinner menus for just $20, $30 or $40 per person (beverages, tax and gratuity not included) at more than 140 participating restaurants. Food lovers can indulge in fare from the region’s hottest chefs and many award-winning eateries like:
Croce’s – Located in the heart of downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, Croce’s Restaurants and Bar has been a local tradition for more than 25 years. Opened by Ingrid Croce as a tribute to her late husband, singer-songwriter Jim Croce, the multi-room complex serves award-winning contemporary American cuisine. Diners can relax on the sidewalk patio and listen to live music nightly after their meal.

George’s at the Cove – One of San Diego’s most beloved restaurants for more than 20 years, George’s at the Cove in La Jolla offers a chic, modern experience with gorgeous views of beautiful La Jolla Cove and award-winning cuisine by chef Trey Foshee. Foshee has received numerous accolades over the years and was recognized as one of America’s Ten Best New Chefs by Food & Wine Magazine in 1998.

Pamplemousse Grille – Located in the picturesque oceanfront community of Del Mar, Pamplemousse Grille consistently earns top honors among San Diego restaurants in the Zagat Guide of America’s best restaurants.
