Special Hotels of the World announced the opening of Valamar Lacroma Resort on May 28, 2009.

Ivan Karlic will serve as general manager.

Part of the Valamar Hotels and Resorts Group, this 401-room resort is located on the Mediterranean peninsular of Babin Kuk, near the old town of Dubrovnik, Croatia, and is the largest conference and spa hotel in Dubrovnik.

The resort features a conference center and eight meeting rooms as well as a spa with a Finnish sauna, soft sauna, ice fountain, relaxation room and ladies-only area.

There are 10 treatment rooms including one couples’ room and a bath treatment room. Other facilities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, beach volleyball, tennis courts, a diving school and numerous water-sports activities.
