Mamilla Hotel, a luxury lifestyle hotel, is opening in Jerusalem in the city center with views of the Old City walls, the Tower of David and Jaffa Gate. The property juxtaposes the sights and enjoyments of the ancient city with a fresh approach to hospitality that reflects and anticipates the expectations and needs of a well-travelled clientele, combining the warmth of local Jerusalemite culture and customs with a working knowledge of leading-edge contemporary luxury trends, products and services.
The hotel aims to go above and beyond simple lodging to deliver to guests a genuine lifestyle experience that delights and inspires through numerous aesthetic, emotional and sensory touch points.
This is borne out through architecture by Moshe Safdie, contemporary design by Piero Lissoni, multiple restaurants and bar venues offering a range of both local and international cuisine, a Mirror bar, a terrazzo-style rooftop brasserie with uninterrupted views of the Old City, a holistic well-being spa and gym, various events and banqueting spaces, and gracious service.
Mamilla Hotel has 194 guest rooms, including 131 well-appointed Studios, 30 spacious Executive Rooms, 25 Mamilla Suites with separate living space, seven Residence Suites featuring oversized bedroom and living spaces and the Presidential Suite with bedroom, living room, dinning/study area and kitchen.
All rooms feature dark wooden floors, bedside walls of exposed large Jerusalem Stone blocks, large metal headboards, bespoke furniture and sleek and luxuriously simple Piero Lissoni bathrooms with deep, cascading rectangular bathtubs and all featuring liquid-crystal bathroom walls that frost over, creating combined or segmented spaces at the touch of a button.
Guests, visitors and locals can get the finest coffee, teas and cakes from the Espresso Bar in the lobby.
In addition to the main hotel dining room, which serves the Israeli breakfast daily, and the Lobby Café, serving all-day dairy specialties in a historical indoor/outdoor annex to the main lobby, the hotel offers the Mamilla Rooftop — an outdoor brasserie with fine views, serving Italian style chiccetti, salads, meat and fish.
For drinks, the Mirror Bar is the destination, with an international drinks list, resident DJ, local live jazz and a separate enclosed Cigar Lounge.
For wine lovers, The Winery offers one of the largest selections of Israeli kosher wines in the country, served upon fine robust antique wooden counters, set amidst a modern 300-bottle contemporary wine rack.
Chef Roi Antebi heads up the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, having come from celebrated Tel Aviv restaurant, Catit.
Mamilla Hotel features a 1,000-square-meter Holistic Wellbeing Centre, a separate gym, spa and wellness space designed to encourage visitors to achieve greater balance, mindfulness and inner harmony through a truly holistic approach that supports all aspects of a more healthful life.
The hotel offers extensive meeting and events capabilities with its 430-square-foot Ballroom for up to 300 people and flexible meeting rooms which can accommodate a maximum total of 190 people.
The property is part of Alrov Luxury Hotels — the hotel and hospitality subsidiary of Tel Aviv-based real estate company Alrov, founded in 1978 by Chairman Alfred Akirov and overseen by Managing Director Georgi Akirov. Alrov has more than 30 years’ experience developing, operating and investing in landmark buildings, developments and projects.
Moshe Safdie, the project architect, is known outside Israel for buildings such as the Columbus Center in New York, the Shenzhen Cultural Center in China and Montreal’s Habitat 67 residential community (which has just been awarded historical status by the Government of Québec) and inside Israel for Ben Gurion airport’s new Terminal 3 building, the new Yad VaShem holocaust memorial in Jerusalem and the Alrov Mamilla Avenue, a shopping and entertainment experience overlooking the Old City, alongside the hotel. Safdie’s appointment as project architect places the Mamilla among some of the most important and visually arresting buildings in the world.
Piero Lissoni, the interior designer, brings to the Mamilla a wealth of product and furniture design, interiors and architectural experience, all of which have firmly positioned him as one of the most globally respected and in-demand designers currently working.
Lissoni has designed for a list of brands including Boffi, Cassina, Kartell, Alessi and Poltrona Frau.

New Todotulum Website Launched to Drive Tourism in Tulum, Mexico
Recent launch of Todotulum.com provides tourists with free access to information about the town of Tulum in Mexico. Complete details about local happenings, from Tulum hotels to activities and tours, can now be obtained online.
QUINTANA ROO, MEXICO – The quiet town of Tulum is getting a big boost in its tourism initiatives with the recent launch of the new Todotulum website.
Now, visitors to this town can get instant and complete information about the goings-on in the site. Long treasured for its ancient Mayan ruins and white powdery shoreline that hugs the Caribbean, Tulum is increasingly becoming a popular tourist destination. But the lack of inside story material makes it less known compared to other resort locations within Quintana Roo, such as Cancun for instance.
The new website on Tulum offers more than just information about the community. It has also gathered a long list of accommodation providers where visitors can stay when they are in town.
And with that catalog, guests can directly book their stay in any of the Tulum hotels. “Now, people who plan to spend their holidays in Tulum can conveniently reserve accommodation in any of the hotels with just a click of the mouse”, says one spokesperson for the new website.
Apart from that, all promos offered by any of the local resorts will also be posted on the site. Thus, guests will be able to compare the prices and amenities being offered by accommodation providers.
With an integrated website that focuses on everything about Tulum, tour operators in the town are also able to offer their services to a wider audience.
Tours around the area are very important in introducing the whole place to first time tourists.
Before, the town was only famous for its Mayan archeological sites, but today a whole new generation of holidaymakers is coming to town.
“This new website about Tulum allows us to connect with tourists, thereby opening up a fresh outlook about the place itself”, quipped one tour operator.
That’s not all. By effectively gaining momentum online, Todotulum.com is now playing a big role in inviting countless couples to hold their Tulum weddings and not just honeymoons.
Truly, the new website allows visitors to learn about the cultural and geographical diversity that can only be found in Tulum.
For more information about the subject of this release, contact Todotulum via http://www.todotulum.com .
About Todotulum.com:
This website aims to provide free information about Tulum. It focuses on activities, sights, promos and accommodation for potential visitors of the town.
