United’s Mileage Plus frequent flyers can use their miles for hotel stays worldwide and car rentals in the United States and Canada.

Other recently announced opportunities for Mileage Plus members to more easily use their miles include the elimination of last-minute booking fees for award tickets and other previous award sales that reduced the amount of miles required for award tickets in the U.S and several international destinations.

In addition to having no blackout dates on United itineraries, United Mileage Plus members have the flexibility to fly any time seats are available using a Standard Award, which does not have any capacity controls.
