Cathay Pacific Airways is holding a contest on Twitter, taking the word “follow” to a whole new level. The “Follow the Crew Dolls” contest features the limited edition Cathay Pacific historical uniform dolls which showcase the airline’s uniforms for the past 63 years.
Until Nov. 5, Twitter users following @CathayPacificUS will receive a tweet hinting that the doll could be anywhere in the world. By tweeting the correct city back to @CathayPacificUS, an entry with the correct answer will be randomly selected to win the doll. Everyone who tweeted the correct answer that day will also be eligible to be entered into a grand prize drawing for a pair of roundtrip tickets to Hong Kong and the entire collection of dolls in a special display case.
From the original military-inspired navy blue dress to the red Chinese-style skirt of the 1960s to the streamlined, modern design of today’s uniform, each uniform represents the change and growth of the airline for the past six decades. Tokyo, Bangkok or Singapore — where will the crew doll take us next? Find out for yourself and play for a chance to win a pair of tickets to Hong Kong.
