Hotel Raito is restoring its Italian New Year’s Eve Package featuring luxury accommodations, Italian customs and traditions and more. As an added highlight, guests will see the region’s annual fireworks display over the Bay of Salerno and are invited to enjoy the Italian tradition of watching “l’alba sul golfo” (the sunrise over the bay) on New Year’s Day, which is sure to provide a memorable start to 2010.

Hotel Raito’s New Year’ package rates start at 455 euros ($673) per room (based on double occupancy) and are available from Dec. 28 to Jan. 4.

The package includes luxury accommodations, the New Year’s Eve Dinner and entertainment, a welcome cocktail with live music, complimentary SPA entrance, daily breakfast buffet and use of Hotel Raito’s Kids’ club.

The New Year’s Eve dinner will feature Italian courses including salmon escalope in a crispy bread crust with cetera anchovies on broccoli cream, carnaroli risotto with cry fish seasoned with mandarin and turbot with leeks, chickpeas and clam sauce, served with potatoes, just to name a few.

In keeping with Italian New Year’s tradition, Hotel Raito will also serve a lentil bean and lobster dish, which is thought to bring prosperity for the coming year.
