FEATHER & FIN 1-NIGHT BREAK (From £250.00 per person)

Named after a famous series of books about country sports, this unique break – run in association with Fly Fishing Devon, introduces guests to a once in a lifetime hawk walk on Dartmoor and the opportunity to learn the graceful art of fly fishing – which few people know is one of the fastest growing outdoor leisure pursuits in Europe and the USA,

• The day begins with an introduction by Martin to his birds of prey and dogs

• You will be taught the basics of how to handle a hawk in a way that is safe to both you and the bird.

• Then you, the hawks and Martin will move on to high Dartmoor grounds set within the heart of Dartmoor National Park

• The fishing session comprises an introduction to the concept and equipment associated with the sport, casting instruction and techniques

• Practice and then making the great 1st attempt to catch that trout.

• Complete your day with a swim in the castle’s stunning 1920’s art deco swimming pool, before heading off for a 3-course dinner in the Edwardian restaurant.

Bovey Castle Spa is very much in keeping with the hotel and setting, it is spacious and airy, with a very welcoming feel when you walk in. Home to a relaxation room that has stunning views over Dartmoor, every treatment room bar one also has a large window that can show off the views or the wooden blinds can be shut and candles lit to make it dark and cosy. All the treatment rooms are also very large and feature huge showers.

Just 2 hours from central London it is the perfect property for any number of occasions, be it family get together, sporting holiday or romantic escape.
