For six weeks, locals and visitors will flock to join the festive seasonal events, with a programme of unique weekend events that lift the spirits and cast a magical mood across the village.
Famed for being the heart of Bronte Country, Haworth’s very special and quirky Christmas traditions are renowned for offering crowds a taste of historical tradition, unique to the village and unlike anywhere else in the UK.
The official start of the Christmas seasonal events programme is marked by the wonderful spectacle and quirky tradition of Scroggling the Holly (14-15 November), followed by a festive flurry of Victorian markets, music and dance and fancy dress processions that bring the streets alive.
The Haworth Christmas Countdown culminates in the final weekend with a Nativity Procession (19-20 December).
And of course, the festive season wouldn’t be complete without Santa and Mrs Claus, who will be appearing in the many parades, spreading glad tidings and Christmas cheer to all.
Visitors will be dazzled by magical processions of light and holly and cast back in time with the period features of the Main Street, its cobbled lining, charming curiosity shops, cute cafes, characterful inns and pubs.
