KOSRAE, Micronesia;– It’s the reef and the abundance of sea life that brings divers to Kosrae, Micronesia.
But there’s more to the magical Lelu Harbor than fish.
For divers who have a dash of archeologist in them and yearn for a touch of history – visiting Kosrae is a must.
Currently, there are three planes and one whaling boat that have been discovered by divers:
two PBMs, an Albatross and a whaling boat however a 1973 newspaper article refers to four plane crashes in the harbor … the next dive might be the one to discover that plane. Kosrae Village EcoLodge and Dive Resort can make all the arrangements to dive in Kosrae.
