Sportsnet is one of the only travel companies to experience substantial growth in the last 16 months and one of the few companies in any industry to enjoy more than 100% growth in the 2008/2009 financial year, however according to Executive Chairman and Founder Rob Cecconi “a 105% increase in sales in 2008/2009 exceeded even our expectations”.

Sportsnet has achieved this substantial growth by committing to its unique acquisition and operational strategy and by ensuring the core values remain at the ‘front of mind’ for its ever expanding workforce, which now totals 32. By building ‘Pipeline’, a Sportsnet buzz word which refers to acquiring global channels to market, Sportsnet product is now communicated to customers and prospective customers, via its unique acquisition of media partnerships.

To date, Sportsnet product is seen in more than 350 million households around the globe each week via television partnerships and Sportsnet web assets are also growing at a significant rate.

Consummated this week, the most significant of Sportsnet’s international deals is with US based Bluefish (www.thebluefish.com ).

According to Steve Sims, CEO & Founder of Bluefish, “partnering with a group that placed standards above all else was an easy partnership to construct. I am therefore thrilled to form this global group with Rob and his team”.

From its underground status as a secret society in the 90’s to its blunt-edged, bold-faced attitude and involvement in high profile events such as The Grammy Awards, the Kentucky Derby and New York Fashion Week, Bluefish has secured a reputation as the world’s premiere lifestyle, concierge and travel service to the rich and famous.

Unique, once-in-a-lifetime memories that are beyond imagination are the Bluefish trademark and are now exclusively available to Sportsnet clientele, just as Sportsnet’s market leading sports experiences will be enjoyed by Bluefish’s discerning members and customers. High end Sportsnet product including ‘Wimbledon with the Woodies’, ‘Monaco F1 6 star experience’ and ‘Australian Open Legends’ will now be available through Bluefish.

In addition to its Bluefish relationship, Sportsnet has also launched Racing World Travel.

This is a joint venture with Sportsbrand Media Group (www.sportsbrand.tv ), who are the internationally renowned sports media and production company, and owners of the world famous TV program, Racing World, now in its 13th year.
