Warsaw has made a list of top ten cities where tourists can find five-star accommodation for less than £100 per night.

According to the website hotels.com a dip in prices means luxury hotels in the Polish capital are now much more affordable than a year ago for British holidaymakers.

The website’s price index puts Warsaw at number eight on its top ten list, ahead of both Czech capital Prague and Estonian favourite Tallinn.

Hotels.com reckons that average hotel prices are now back at 2004 levels

Acting Director of the Polish National Tourist Office Bogdan Becla said:

“Poland is a great holiday choice for British tourists.

“We’re packed with history, culture, wonderful sights, great food and world-class hospitality.

“And because we don’t have the Euro, a trip to Poland is cheap which can only be good news for people wanting a luxury holiday at a discount price.

“You can really make the most of what’s on offer in one of Europe’s fastest growing tourist destinations without penny pinching.”
