Alamo Rent A Car announced its SaveTime service at the U.S. Travel Association’s 2010 International Pow Wow. SaveTime — a pre-rental registration service for Alamo customers traveling into the U.S. and Canada — is accessible through www.alamo.co.uk.
To use the SaveTime service, customers input reservation number and surname, license details and personal information and complete booking, including any options (to be paid during check-in at the airport).

AirTran Airways Adds Flights from Milwaukee Hub

AirTran Airways has announced several new flights from its hub at General Mitchell International Airport. It will add a third daily flight from Milwaukee to Boston this July and a fourth daily flight to Washington/Reagan National this October. AirTran Airways is also introducing new, nonstop flights to New Orleans in October and Sarasota/Bradenton, Fla., in November.
The airline is also returning seasonal service to Phoenix and Fort Lauderdale in November.
Service to Sarasota/Bradenton and New Orleans mark the 19th and 20th cities AirTran Airways serves from General Mitchell Airport.
Frontier Seasonal Milwaukee-Cancún Service

Frontier Airlines has announced it will launch new seasonal nonstop service between its Milwaukee hub and Cancún, Mexico, beginning Dec. 18.
The carrier will operate two weekly roundtrip flights through May 1, with a third flight operating Feb. 1 to April 15.
This service follows Frontier’s recent 17-market expansion, making it the fastest-growing major carrier in the United States. Frontier will operate this route with Airbus A319 aircraft, outfitted with all-leather seating, four rows of Stretch seating and DirecTV service in every seatback.

Travel Impressions Extends Spring to Barbados Promo

Travel Impressions and the Barbados Tourism Authority have extended the booking window on the Spring to Barbados promotion to June 15 (from the original May 30 date).
The Spring to Barbados promotion provides up to a $300 booking credit, a Passport of Savings for ground activities, one free day car rental, and a Barbados Gourmet savings card. Travel must be completed by Dec. 18 to earn the incentives.
Through the Spring to Barbados promotion, travelers booking a minimum of five nights at participating properties will receive an instant booking credit of $150, $200 or $300 (varies according to hotel) which is deducted at the time the reservation is made.

Alaska Airlines In-Flight Wi-Fi on Six Aircraft

The airline is partnering with Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card to offer passengers in-flight Wi-Fi free of charge on flights through July 31.

Aircraft equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi will have a Wi-Fi symbol located outside the aircraft’s boarding door and information about the service located in seatback pockets.
Gogo will be available above 10,000 feet, following an announcement approving the use of portable electronic devices.
Customers can use in-flight Wi-Fi free of charge through July 31 by entering the promotional code ALASKAVISA on the login screen.
After July 31, the Gogo service, currently available in the U.S. lower 48 states, will be offered to customers at a cost of $4.95 per flight and up, based on length of flight and device used.

NY Waterways Brings Back 90-Minute Twilight Cruise

NY Waterway’s 90-Minute Twilight Cruise returns Saturday, May 29, exploring the New York City skyline as it comes to life at sundown.
As the sun sets and the reflections on the buildings become darkened, the city transforms into a vibrant visual experience featuring thousands upon thousands of lights across the Manhattan skyline.
The Twilight Cruise departs every evening at 6:30 through June 30, then at 7:30 until Oct. 11.
Tours depart from the NY Waterway Tours Terminal at West 38th Street and the Hudson River Park, with free bus service between points throughout Manhattan and the NY Waterway Ferry Terminal, next door at West 39th Street.
For New Jersey visitors, the cruise starts with a free roundtrip commuter ferry ticket from the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal in Weehawken to the West 39th Street Terminal. Snacks and drinks are available for sale at the Tours Terminal and onboard all sightseeing boats.
