The Ibiza Tourist Board has launched its first brochure aimed specifically at marketing the island to the gay market which represents over one million travellers from the UK alone.

The brochure which is downloadable from the tourist board website www.ibiza.travel aims to help gay and lesbian travellers source practical information about the gay friendly island and encourage gay and lesbian travellers to Ibiza.

Ibiza has long been known for its relaxed attitude where the resident’s ethos is ‘live and let live.’ A long time favourite with the gay and lesbian scene due to its unique offering of fantastic beaches, stylish bars and restaurants and exhilarating and world famous nightlife Ibiza continues to be popular amongst this market.

Listing gay friendly accommodation, bar and clubs, restaurants and much more (hospitals, tourist office details) the guide highlights the best gay hotspots as well as highlighting Ibiza’s wider offering including cycling, gastronomy, nature and culture.

In recognition of the high spend per person contribution this market makes to the total value of tourism to the island the guide also includes information on Ibiza’s recently established spa tourism offering which has seen agroturismos develop boutique spas and new five star hotels launch stunning spas.
