Villa Zorayda Museum: For those who enjoy art, architecture and the eccentricities of a by-gone era, there’s no better place to visit than St. Augustine’s Villa Zorayda.

Built in 1883 as the winter home of Franklin Smith, it was the first edifice in St. Augustine built of poured concrete.

Higher Roskestal has a hilltop location with sweeping views down to the sea.

The house has become one of the family¹s most popular properties because of its spacious layout and contemporary farmhouse style.

The enclosed garden is ideal for games and picnics. You can walk over the hills to the ancient church of St. Levan or stroll down to Porthgwarra Cove for homemade cakes from the little shop and perhaps a glimpse of a visiting seal.

Venton Farmhouse, 5*, in Marazion, sleeps 10

The cottage garden has a charming view over to St Michael’s Mount and the proximity of the A30 makes day trips to St Ives, the Eden Project and various National Trust gardens very easy.

This lovely old farmhouse has a glorious position on the coastal path with panoramic views from upstairs over to Nanjizal. You might even spot seals basking in the cove.

The house is warm, light and airy and the enclosed garden at the back perfect for outdoor meals. A wood burning stove separate family sitting room with TV and DVD room help make the farmhouse even more comfortable. The beach is just a walk away.

Corner Cottage, 4* Porthgwarra, sleeps 2

Corner Cottage is a pretty little bolthole for two. Climb the stairs and you are tucked away with a bird’s eye view down the slipway to the sea.

Through the other window, the cliff path beckons.

Faraway Cottage, 4*, in Nanjizal, sleeps 4 (1 double, 1 twin) Faraway Cottage¹s location lives up to its name. You arrive at the end of a long, bumpy farm track to find a cosy and distinctive cottage surrounded by fields, minutes from the South West Coastal Path. Open its French windows and look out over spectacular views to the sea and to the twin peaks of Nanjizal Cove.

Three Chimneys, 4*, in Porthgwarra, sleeps 8

With plenty of space inside and out, Three Chimneys is ideal for larger groups. The big kitchen makes a natural focal point, but with two sitting rooms even the most hardened Sudoku addict can find a quiet corner. Sennen beach is 10 minutes by car and has a Blue Flag Award, some of the best surf and a funky beach café.

With spring a little late this year there is still time to see the cliffs and moors covered in swathes of wild flowers. If you have a really big group, you can spread out through near by Higher Roskestal, Cove and Corner cottage which are just down the road.

Cove Cottage, 4*, in Porthgwarra, sleeps 4

Cove is a top choice for those who want to be right on the beach. Walk down through the tunnel in the rock and you could be the first in the sea for an early morning dip. The cliff walks are amongst the most dramatic in Cornwall.

The cottage welcomes you with its warm-toned, open-plan interior and there is a small grassy area for eating out. A stream runs behind the cottage and then dives underneath to the sea.
