Ibiza has long been known for its relaxed attitude where the resident’s ethos is ‘live and let live.’ A long time favourite with the gay and lesbian scene due to its unique offering of fantastic beaches, stylish bars and restaurants and exhilarating and world famous nightlife Ibiza continues to be popular amongst this market.
Listing gay friendly accommodation, bar and clubs, restaurants and much more (hospitals, tourist office details) the guide highlights the best gay hotspots as well as highlighting Ibiza’s wider offering including cycling, gastronomy, nature and culture.
In recognition of the high spend per person contribution this market makes to the total value of tourism to the island the guide also includes information on Ibiza’s recently established spa tourism offering which has seen agroturismos develop boutique spas and new five star hotels launch stunning spas.

Puglia’s stunning new luxury resort, Borgo Egnazia is proud to announce the opening of its eagerly awaited Egnathia Spa in June 2010.
Egnathia Spa will be one of the largest oases of relaxation and rejuvenation in Italy located in one of the most exciting new destination-resorts in the Mediterranean, just a few hundred metres from the Adriatic Sea. Borgo Egnazia’s Spa has been years in the making, and will finally open its doors to Spa lovers from across the world this summer.
The large, 1,800m² Spa will include a modern interpretation of an ancient Roman bathhouse, keeping age-old Italian well-being traditions alive, combined with the latest in modern treatments and facilities; this is a pampering spa with a medical twist.
The 10 treatment rooms at Egnathia Spa will span across two floors, featuring seven single rooms, three double rooms and a Thai massage room. There will be a large wet area offering a Tepidarium (warm room), Caldarium (hot room) and Fridgarium (cold room), as well as two Roman bath scrub rooms, where guests can go back in time and enjoy a steamy cleansing and stretching experience on heated marble slabs. Cooling off has never been more luxurious with the new indoor-outdoor swimming pool – perfectly chilled or heated depending on the weather.
For Spa ‘junkies’ who prefer to stay in their slippers and robes all day long, there are two special Spa Suites. Adjoining the Spa, these exclusive rooms have their own steam baths and private gardens.
Egnathia Spa has been created to stimulate all of the senses – awakening sight, smell, sound and touch.
The key products will feature locally found ingredients including citrus fruits; and regionally produced olive-oils.
Citrus products with their nourishing and therapeutic properties will be used in many of the facials, wraps and scrub treatments; as well as in the spa snacks, drinks, and therapy room vaporizers.
Egnathia Spa will also host a hairdresser, barber, fitness facilities, a yoga studio, café, bookshop and Technogym.
For active types, the gym and fitness facilities will include comprehensive exercise programmes, tailor-made to suit individual needs.
If those with a DIY approach to exercise, the Resort’s concierge is on hand to arrange local walks and cycling on the 200 hectare estate, sailing trips, horse riding, tennis and golf lessons, non-motorised watersports and more.

The ARTISAN Hotel in Las Vegas
June 16, 2010 on 10:01 am | In Hotels, Las Vegas | Comments Off
New Rooms; New Restaurant; New Events; New Attitude
LAS VEGAS – Everyone loves a comeback! With the Artisan Hotel, the Siegel Group not only brought the hotel back, they made it dramatically better. Having bought the beloved property in 2009 after a series of operational and ownership mishaps, Stephen Siegel knew that the ARTISAN was an exceptional property; therefore, he has personally overseen the extensive renovations which have taken place throughout the hotel.
Now, just six months later, the makeover is complete; including the launch of the brand new Mood at the Artisan Restaurant, newly renovated rooms and a sexy new pool experience featuring day beds, cabanas and weekly events.
Add to that, the launch of the successful ARTISAN AfterHours, and it is no wonder that the ARTISAN has quickly gained back its legions of loyal fans, while also impressing those walking through the doors for the very first time.
ARTISAN is Las Vegas’ exceptional non-gaming hotel boutique and ultra-lounge. There is not another hotel like it in Las Vegas (or any other city in the world).
The 62-room, 2-suite lushly landscaped hideaway, literally covered from floor to ceiling with eclectic art and paintings, elicits surprise and awe from even the most discerning travelers. Arriving at the ARTISAN, the guest surrenders to another world.
The experience begins as the valet greets guests and draws open the gilded gothic doors. Stepping into the art-filled lobby, guests are instantly transported to another world as their eyes adjust to the light from sparkling chandeliers and flickering candles. It is 1914 Momartre, an elegant and mysterious world of art, absinthe and decadent indulgence.
The eclectic décor and top-shelf staff make ARTISAN one of the most unique experiences in Las Vegas; it features impeccable service and décor, distinctive rooms, a chic full-service lounge and restaurant, a wedding chapel with the warmth and charm of a small village church and a lushly landscaped Mediterranean pool which is a perfect exotic hideaway where you can lounge in a private cabana or on an oversized daybed.
“My vision is for the ARTISAN to be the ultimate locale for nightlife, weddings, one-of-a-kind events, extended visits and weekend Las Vegas getaways,” notes Stephen Siegel, owner of the Siegel Group.
“This hotel is special, not just for Las Vegas, but any destination. I’ve never seen a hotel like it; when guests walk through the door, they are literally blown away.
We had to make major changes to the way the property operates and we’ve focused on every detail—from the check-in to the lounge experience to the dining, events and the entertainment.
This is by far the most unique place to have your Las Vegas experience.”
In addition to the extensive renovations, the hotel is launching a brand new line-up of special events and happy hours, and will be announcing new Lounge and poolside events in the coming weeks.
