June 15, 2010 on 3:36 pm | In Australia, Beachbooker, Sydney, Tasmania | Comments Off

Australia’s newest luxury hotel, Saffire, located on the East Coast of Tasmania near Freycinet, is now open.

“This project is one of great significance for our company, and is the culmination of years of market research and careful planning,” said Greg Farrell, Pure Tasmania managing director.

“We wanted to ensure we built a development that was sympathetic to this beautiful area and its environs, yet still offers guests the most unforgettable experiences in accommodation, food and wine, activities and most of all, Saffire Service.”

Distinct in its design, exclusive in its features and set apart by its approach to individually tailored experiences and service, Saffire’s approach is not constrained by traditional five-star ratings and standards, but instead sets a new direction for holidays and accommodations in Australia.

Saffire features 20 luxury suites, each offering sweeping views of Great Oyster Bay and the Hazards Mountains with complete privacy from the neighboring suites. Exclusive Signature Experiences have been developed accessing little-known areas of the Freycinet Peninsula, and a range of other activities can be tailored to suit guests’ desires.

Golf in Malaysia

Play More - Pay Less
Leading Thailand, Vietnam & Cambodia Golf Tour Operator Golfasian is now presenting golf holiday makers with the opportunity to Golf in Malaysia.

“During the recent months we have received an increasing amount of requests for Malaysia Golf Tour Packages. Given Malaysia’s beautifully designed golf courses, fascinating hotels & resorts, superb infrastructure, and friendly hospitality, we have decided to add Malaysia Golf as an additional Asian Golf Destination,” explained Mark Siegel, Managing Director of Golfasian.

Malaysia boost roughly 40 playable golf courses (out of around 200 golf courses), with the majority located in and around Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur, Johor in Peninsular Malaysia, and the islands Penang and Langkawi. “The The Golf Club Datai Bay in Langkawi, the Saujana Golf & Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, and the The Mines Resort & Golf Club in KL are certainly three must play golf courses for those who want the premier Malaysia Golf Holiday experience,” Mark Siegel continued.

Besides great golf, Malaysia offers an immense range of attractions and outdoor activities for any age and group size.

As Golfasian’s Business Development Manager, Pascal Orczech, said “From the well-known 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur to Malacca, famous for its history, climbing Mount Kunabalu, experiencing the limestone caves of Sarawak or snorkeling at Perhentian Island – Malaysia has it all and more!”

The 12 Days ‘Malaysia Golfing Experience’ golf package is the perfect entrance golf tour for those who are unfamiliar with golf in Malaysia and want to experience only the best in a reasonable amount of time.

Due to Malaysia’s close proximity to Thailand with only 50 minutes flight time between Langkawi and Phuket or 1 hour and 15 minutes from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket, nothing stands in the way for a multi-country Asia Golf Holiday. “Our 15 Days ‘Malaysia and Thailand Golf Tour’ is one of our most often requested Malaysia/Thailand Golf Tour Packages,” explained Pascal Orczech.

Golfasian has added the best Malaysia Golf Courses and most unique Malaysia Golf Tour Packages to its website at www.golfasian.com

If you have not yet planned your 2010 golf holiday, try Malaysia Golf – you will take home an Asian Golf Holiday Experience you won’t forget anytime soon.

New to Bebe’s treatment menu is the Bebe Vakaviti Signature Massage, which seamlessly unites traditional Fijian massage techniques with an ancient Hawaiian massage style.

This treatment uses light massage and stretching and gentle application of warm towels to draw out tension, re-align the body and leave the mind and spirit in a complete state of serenity.

Bebe’s exfoliation and detoxification treatments are taken to new heights by the new Tropical Salt Mousse Exfoliation and Tropical Escape treatments.

Cooltan Tan-Through Women's SwimwearBoth treatments utilise a tantalising body brushing technique and salt mousse exfoliation, expelling impurities and improving circulation before each treatment together with the natural anti-aging properties of papaya and pineapple in a lotion or wrap to smooth, nourish and rejuvenate the skin.

Comparable in technique, treatment and quality to any of the world best 5-star day spas, Bebe Spa treatments start from as little as AUD$71.

Bebe Spa Sanctuary houses eight treatment rooms, uniquely suspended from the main structure, which feature private balconies and open-air showers or sunken spa-baths with panoramic views.

Oceania “Pillars of Distinction” Fleet Upgrade

June 14, 2010 on 7:31 am | In Adventure Travel, Cruise Boats | Comments Off

Oceania Cruises has launched a multi-million dollar initiative to update and enhance its fleet.

The “Pillars of Distinction” program centers on the three hallmarks of the Oceania experience: comfort, cuisine and service.

The 684-guest Nautica, the first Oceania ship to undergo the update, re-entered service June 4. Sister ship Insignia will incorporate Pillars of Distinction in November and Regatta in January. All work will occur during regularly scheduled dry-docks.

Pillars of Distinction amenities and design highlights will be incorporated on Oceania’s two new ships, currently under construction in Italy. The 1,258-guest Marina joins the fleet in January and a sister ship, Riviera, is scheduled for delivery in April 2012.

Under the new program, Oceania staterooms and Penthouse Suites will be enhanced with more luxurious amenities and new décor highlights. The focal point will be custom tufted headboards with nail-head trim mounted on floor-to-ceiling Wenge walnut panels.

The new Prestige Tranquility Beds are composed of 400 encapsulated springs in seven zones that are covered by two inches of memory foam, a two-inch-thick cushion filled with gel and chamomile-infused fiber tops.

In addition, all beds will be dressed with 1,000-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, duvets and a down comforter.

All accommodations will be outfitted with refrigerated mini bars, wall sconces and bedside reading lamps, as well as updated furnishings and bath amenities.

Oceania will add new décor in Polo Grill, enhance menus in Terrace Café and Toscana, and introduce Canyon Ranch Spa Cuisine. Polo Grill is Oceania’s most popular alternative restaurant, which offers dry-aged prime beef, chops and poultry, plus seafood, including Maine lobster. Pillars of Distinction enhancements include new leather chairs and carpeting and drapes in hues of crimson, claret, gold and hunter.

Terrace Café, a casual venue with indoor and outdoor seating, will expand its breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. Sushi, sashimi and made-to-order pasta dishes will be complemented with regional delicacies in select destinations. Toscana, the upscale Italian venue, will add a gourmet olive oil menu and favorite family recipes from staff and crew.

In the second phase of its partnership with Canyon Ranch, breakfast, lunch and dinner menus in both the Grand Dining Room and Terrace Café will feature “Spa Cuisine” selections developed by the culinary team at Canyon Ranch Health Resorts. Canyon Ranch opened the onboard spas in 2009.

Oceania also will expand its onboard enrichment program as part of the Pillars of Distinction initiative.

On select sailings, Canyon Ranch Healthy Living Experts will offer classes and workshops addressing lifestyle change, healthy living, stress management and a variety of other topics.

Click Here for Your BEACH GEAROceania also will enhance its shore experiences in many ports. New tours and excursions include visits to the pope’s private place of worship at the Vatican, an Alaskan Chef’s Table and photo safaris in Kenya, among others. Pillars of Distinction is an ongoing initiative, with more updates and enhancements to be announced.
