Free Shipping on Orders over $50When traveling to Argentina travelers tend to be overwhelmed by the choices and options that await them. Local Argentine operator SayHueque.com recommends 4 must sees when in Argetina: Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Mendoza and El Calafate.

Buenos Aires

Known as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as shows off plenty of its own culture! Traditional European flavors abound.cobbled streets are lined with rustic outdoor cafes, local antique and artisanal markets offer plenty of bargain shopping, and the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open parilla (barbeque) wafts through the air.

Of course, modern Buenos Aires also is home to some excellent local designers and you will certainly find the perfectly soft leather jacket, long leather boots.not to mention the handbags! Don’t forget to take in a dinner-tango show or to check out the
colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.

Iguazu Falls

A world heritage site and one of the new 7 Wonders of Nature, Iguazu Falls is one of the most breathtaking sights to behold. With over 250 waterfalls surrounded by the tropical jungle of Argentina and Brazil, travelers can’t get much closer to nature in all her glory.

One of the most popular destinations on the continent, travelers will marvel as colorful parrots fly overhead and chatter away in the nearby trees of this jungle oasis.

The Argentine side of Iguazu Falls is where they will
get up close and personal with the falls, that is, they will actually feel the refreshing mist from the towering 80 meter Gargant del Diable waterfall cool them off as their tan improves from the strong South American sunshine.
While the Brazilian side of the Falls is perfect to appreciate the panoramic vistas and sweeping landscapes.

Mendoza

Mendoza is located at the base of the Andes in eastern Argentina and just a stone’s thow from the nearby Chilean border.

Besides the towering Aconcagua Mountain, the western hemisphere’s tallest at 6962 meters (22841 feet) and a
plethora of adventurous activities that are available nearby (including horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, etc),

Mendoza is home to over 100 wineries and vineyards, as well as a few lovely spas.

El Calafate – Perito Moreno Glacier

ExOfficio: Clothing for the Adventurous SpiritEl Calfate is a small city known as the gateway to Patagonia and hosts many traditional restaraunts that serve up regional delicacies such as Patagonia roasted lamb, empanadas and artesanal microbrewed beer. It is also the ideal base for visiting the massive Perito Moreno Glacier.

REI.com
Perito Moreno Glacier is the most visited glacier in Patagonia and offers some of the most breathtaking views that one could imagine.

Located on the shores of Argentina’s largest lake, Lake Argentino, and just two hours from El Calafate, day trips are easy to make and there are some great activities available that range from walking along the viewpoint trail, taking a boat cruise up close to the massive ice wall, or even trekking on the glacier itself!

Cruise The Caledonian Canal And Loch Ness

The award winning specialist cruise company The Majestic Line proudly announces a new route for the 2010 sailing season taking in one of the world’s most stunning waterways – The Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness.

Two six night cruises will depart from Oban in October and cruise through what is widely regarded as being one of the world’s most outstanding waterways. Guests will gently sail the length of Loch Linnhe passing the UK’s tallest mountain Ben Nevis and have a unique vantage point to see its incredible dark North West side which include sheer 2000ft cliffs.

Ahead is the entrance to the Caledonian Canal – regarded as being one of the world’s foremost examples of canal engineering and certainly incomparable to anything else in the UK. Neptune’s Staircase is a fabulous example of foresight of Thomas Telford who designed the canal in the early 18th century – guests aboard the boat will rise over 70 feet through eight locks in under 500 yards.

They will have the opportunity to visit the many delightful villages along the canal and the shores of Loch Ness. Shore excursions could include the imposing Abbey at Fort Augustus at the head of Loch Ness or the Caledonian Canal Heritage Centre. Also on the itinerary will be a trip to world famous Urquhart Castle at the half way point along Loch Ness. This is regarded as being the best place for Nessie spotting!

Spring Summer collection out now
Every night, the boats will anchor in secluded bays where drinks will be served on the outside stern sundeck, prior to being served a sumptuous dinner overlooked by breath taking scenery. Previous guests have commented that there’s nothing quite like the gentle sound of water lapping against the hull to build up a healthy appetite!

The Majestic Line Loch Ness cruise provides a unique vantage point to witness some of the abundance of wildlife in this unspoiled part of Scotland – whilst on the sea lochs dolphins, porpoises, seals, otters and huge variety of bird life are all common sights.

Once on the fresh water lochs, a different range of wildlife can be seen – red deer, pine martins, red squirrels and an impressive range of birds of prey including ospreys and golden eagles.

The Majestic Line comprises two vessels – the Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan, both traditionally built wooden boats converted by business partners Dr Ken Grant and architect Andy Thoms who saved the boats from the maritime knacker’s yard.

Both vessels have been redesigned and now offer luxury accommodation for up to 11 people in 6 cabins (there is always at least one berth reserved for single occupancy at no extra cost), both boats provide guests a unique cruise in incomparable surroundings.

The boats have been especially designed to encourage informality and relaxation.

Andy Thom said of the Loch Ness cruise ‘This is a new venture for The Majestic Line and is one that I can’t wait for guests to experience.

What makes this cruise so special is a combination of the beautiful sea lochs around Ben Nevis, the magnificence of the Caledonian Canal and awesome grandeur of Loch Ness.

Combined with award winning hospitality, I fully expect that this will be the experience of a lifetime’.
