ROCKHOUSE CELEBRATES A TURKEY-LESS THANKSGIVING

November 22, 2010 on 10:33 am | In Gaming Resorts, Las Vegas, Night Clubs | Comments Off

Giving Thanks is Overrated; Booze and Football is Where It’s At

LAS VEGAS – No place to eat turkey this Thanksgiving? Rockhouse, the only ultra-dive bar on the Strip, will invite all thankless partygoers over for some old-fashioned football and fun Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26.

This Thanksgiving, while all the family folks are sitting down to a boring dinner with grandma, the beer will be flowing and the games will be playing at Rockhouse.

On Thursday revelers can grab a bar stool and enjoy a turkey-less Thanksgiving the way it should be celebrated – with football and beer. Starting at 9 a.m.,

Rockhouse patrons will enjoy two-for-one beers and wells, $4 drafts and $5 shots of Wild Turkey all day long as they cheer for their favorite team on 28 high-definition television screens throughout the bar. As the sun goes down on this day of thanks, guys will be sure to give their thanks to Rockhouse as ladies drink free from 10:30 p.m. until midnight.

The party continues at Rockhouse on Black Friday. While the rest of America is standing in line buying presents for mom, Rockhouse will be living it up with two-for-one drinks, $4 drafts and $5 shots of Wild Turkey.

Guys, don’t let the ladies rope you into bargain shopping again. Catch all the college games all day long at Rockhouse.

Day or night, it’s always the right time to party at Rockhouse. Whether people watching on the rowdy Strip-side patio by day, or dancing on the bar with an 80-ounce guitar by night, the ultra-dive bar is one of Vegas’ best-kept secrets.

Rockhouse will give partygoers the ultimate nightlife experience – minus the “VIP” attitude.

With a knockout lineup of gorgeous bartenders, bottle service that won’t break the bank, a Strip-view daiquiri bar and casual dress code, Rockhouse is definite must-visit hotspot for locals and tourists alike.

Blending a local dive bar with the glamour of Sin City’s party scene at a convenient center Strip location, Rockhouse is the top party destination on the Strip.

Las Vegas’ only ultra dive bar features top-notch lighting and sound with the best DJs in Las Vegas blending upbeat rock, hip-hop and dance.

With beautiful bartenders pouring drinks from the bar tops, playing in the giant bird cage and dangling from tire swings suspended from the ceiling,

Rockhouse is the spot where the party never stops.

Rockhouse is located on Las Vegas Blvd. in front of Imperial Palace, directly across from Caesars Palace in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip.

The daiquiri and main bar open daily at 10 a.m. and the adjacent nightclub is open from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.

More than shopping at North America’s largest mall

One of North America’s most popular tourist attractions draws a diverse group of golfers, surfers, sports fans, dolphin show watchers theme park-devotees and others.

It’s the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta which is visited by 22 million people a year.

“Shopping is only part of the mall’s universal appeal,” writes Travel to Alberta. The 58-entrance mall with 800 stores is the largest in North America.

“Edmonton’s top tourist attraction is a shop-and-play four-season wonderland, where many visitors check into the 355-room luxury Fantasyland Hotel, stay a weekend, and never set foot outside the mall’s 58 entrances,” says a Web site.

In addition to the shops, the mall has the world’s largest indoor amusement park with 25 rides, a water park with sandy beaches, various “sea adventures” with a replica of Christopher Columbus’s flagship the Santa Maria, over 100 eateries, 27 movie screens, the world’s largest car park (25,000 vehicles), and the world’s largest indoor lake, among other attractions.

“At first glance, it seemed like any other large shopping center. Then I saw giant the rollercoaster,” wrote travel writer Craig Platt.

He pointed out the mall reminded him of Las Vegas. It also has a casino.

If you visit, parking is not much of a problem but tourists are advised to be sure they know which one of the 58 entrances their car is near.
