The Governor of the State of Guerrero inaugurated the show in December of 2010 The new attraction consists of high-tech laser lights, in conjunction with a 12-minute video, giving viewers background information on the history of the diving tradition, as well as interviews with some of the divers themselves. The video is available in both English and Spanish, and shows run four times per day.

As the producer and chef, George Murphy has gained a lot of experience in the 25 years he’s been RVing. “We hope to produce one program every week or so that will run from 5 – 8 minutes and each and will show the viewer how to make wonderful food within the confines of their RV. It won’t be complicated but will be a lot of fun,” says Murphy.

RV Chef will also touch on the RV lifestyle and offer tips and suggestions to better enjoy your RV. It will provide an excellent source of information for the experienced RVer, the first time buyer and renter.

As a service to their visitors and customers, RV Dealerships will be able to play the RV Chef videos on their websites free by adding the RV Chef Button for their viewers to click through.

GIRLS’ GETAWAY TO COLORADO

March 26, 2011 on 9:42 am | In Adventure Travel, Dine Drink, Rockies, Skiing Snowboarding | Comments Off

Wickers.com COUPON 10% OFF all orders
It’s been a long winter, you’ve been busier than ever and, frankly, you’ve paid more attention to your laptop than any actual humans lately. Your girlfriends have almost written you off as a hopeless case, but before they do, we’ve got a plan for redemption: a girls-only getaway to Colorado.

Colorado’s refreshing blue-sky backdrop, natural beauty and wealth of high-energy activities and indulgent rewards will have you wondering why you didn’t do this sooner.

Whether you are planning a trip with your best gal pals, a family affair with your sisters and mom, or a bachelorette party getaway, here is a suggested itinerary for the best way to spend a few days in Colorado.

Part 1: The Girls Take Denver

Whether you’re flying or driving in, Denver makes an excellent starting place for a girls’ getaway. You’ll want to spend some time chatting and catching up on all the latest, so plan a leisurely lunch in upscale Cherry Creek North at a restaurant such as NoRTH, Cucina Colore or Hapa Sushi Grill and Sake Bar, all of which are popular with Denver’s ladies-who-lunch crowd. Next, hit the sidewalks of this retail-centric neighborhood for some of Denver’s best boutique shopping.

Dead Sea Muds and Salts Browse cutting-edge couture at MAX, the finest frilly lingerie at SOL and hot denim finds at blu.

If the gaggle is still jonesing for more shop therapy, the massive Cherry Creek Shopping Center is just a couple blocks south and is filled with brand favorites such as Forever 21, Sephora, Anthropologie and many others.

Take a break back at the hotel, then get all spiffed up for a night on the town. Denver’s LoDo (short for Lower Downtown) area is crowded with restaurants that top critics’ lists — Rioja, Osteria Marco, Bistro Vendôme and Euclid Hall, to name a few. And after dinner, plenty of nightlife options are just a few stiletto clicks away at places like Wild Ivories piano bar, or Beta and Suite 200 for swanky dance club experiences.

Itinerary Part 2: Adventure on (and off) the Slopes

There’s nothing like an exciting outdoor escapade to put your girl-bonding time on the fast track, and Colorado’s 26 ski resorts are the perfect places to find adventure. Consider Beaver Creek Resort, which offers 1,815 acres of breathtaking terrain, as well as some posh amenities that will be a hit with the ladies (think freshly baked cookies served slopeside!).

Go straight to the mountain for convenient, on-site equipment rentals, then head to the top of Chair 6 at 9:30am for the daily Cocoa and Corduroy event — a free cup of steaming-hot cocoa and freshly groomed runs (called “corduroy” for the pattern left behind). Spend the rest of the day schussing through Colorado’s famous powder.

It’s time for the second-best part of any ski day: après ski! Coyote Café’s heated patio is the place to go in Beaver Creek Village for a plate of towering nachos and a margarita that jumpstart post-ski tranquility.

Opt for a nap back at the hotel before gearing up for a night out in neighboring Vail. High-end restaurants such as Sweet Basil and Terra Bistro will have you swooning over the high standards of Vail’s high-altitude chefs. After-dinner lounging, dancing and martinis are waiting at Samana Lounge.

Save 10% on spa gift certificates at WaySpa.com
Unless another day of skiing is in your plans for day two of your mountain foray, then take a much more relaxing route and visit one of the area’s uber-luxurious spas for some pampering.

The Allegria Spa at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, situated at the base of the ski resort, is a true Colorado experience for reasons beyond its mountain location.

Treatments such as the Colorado Wild Rose Cure and Alpine Thermal Wrap use Colorado’s serene environment as inspiration and locally produced skincare products.

All treatments include a complimentary visit to the spa’s hydrotherapy area, where you can soak in mineral pools, enjoy a rain shower and relax in a steam room.

Once you’ve reached relaxation bliss, regroup around the cozy patio fire pits at the Park Hyatt’s 8100 Mountainside Bar and Grill.

Here you can enjoy the dramatic mountain vista, sip on a glass of wine and begin planning next year’s girls’ getaway to Colorado.

Super Hunt Entries on Sale Now in Idaho

Free Shipping on Orders over $50Either way, hunters win when they enter the Super Hunt drawings; they get a chance at winning the hunt of a lifetime, and their entry fee helps support hunter and angler access to and across private lands.

Super Hunt is a fund-raising drawing for 40 big game tags. The tags are handed out to winners in two drawings. Entries are drawn for elk, deer, pronghorn and moose tags. Winners can participate in any open hunt in the state for deer, elk, pronghorn or moose. That includes general hunts and controlled hunts.
Entries in this year’s first Super Hunt and Super Hunt Combo drawing must be received at the Fish and Game headquarters by May 31. Winners will be notified by June 10.

The first drawing in June will be for eight elk, eight deer, and eight antelope hunts as well as one moose hunt; one “Super Hunt Combo” entry also will be drawn that will entitle the winner to hunt for one each elk, deer, antelope, and moose.

A second drawing will be in mid-August when another “Super Hunt Combo” and entries for two elk, two deer, and two antelope hunts along with one moose hunt will be drawn.

Hunters can take an animal or animals on their Super Hunt or Super Hunt Combo tags in addition to any general season or controlled hunt tags they also hold. All other rules of individual hunts apply.

The special drawings began in 2004 as a way to raise money for the Access Yes! program, which helps assure hunter and angler access to and across private lands by compensating willing landowners.

Tax Checkoff Supports Wildlife

As you sweat your way through this year’s tax forms, it might lift spirits a little to check the box for donating to Idaho’s wildlife.
Taxpayers may check the square on their Idaho tax forms to donate any amount of their refund to the Nongame Wildlife Conservation Fund administered by Idaho Fish and Game.

Other Fish and Game programs aimed at game animals and fish are funded through the sale of licenses and tags to hunters and anglers. No general taxes go to either game or nongame programs.

The only two ways to support animals that are not hunted, fished or trapped is by donating on your Idaho income tax form or buying an Idaho wildlife license plate.

Nongame programs include education, conservation and recreation. Examples of nongame wildlife projects include producing popular educational publications and doing research on nongame wildlife species. Better information about those species aids wildlife management efforts and could help keep some from becoming rare or endangered.

The number of Idaho residents participating in wildlife related activities, such as bird and wildlife watching, wildlife photography, bird feeding and conservation education, continues to rise.

Jackets For Everyone At Paragon Sports
While this constituency continues to grow, the problem of how to fund the nongame program and meet ever-increasing demands continues.

More than 80 percent of Idaho’s wild creatures—523 species including songbirds, water birds, raptors, small mammals, reptiles and amphibians, and threatened and endangered wildlife—are classified as “nongame wildlife.”
Nongame wildlife is not normally hunted, fished or trapped, but is found in every corner of Idaho.

Besides the checkoff, the major source of funding for nongame programs is through the sale of the distinctive bluebird, cutthroat trout and elk license plates.

Legislation established the state’s first income tax checkoff on the 1981 income tax form, which still continues as an important source of program income today.

In 1992, the Idaho Legislature passed the wildlife license plate bill that allowed a portion of the wildlife license plate proceeds to benefit the nongame wildlife program. The bluebird plate became available in 1993.

The elk plate was added in 1998 and the cutthroat trout plate in 2003.

The nongame program gets 71 percent of the money from the sale of bluebird plates, and 64 percent of the money from elk and trout plates – 4 percent of the money from elk plates supports wildlife disease monitoring and testing programs and 7 percent from cutthroat plates supports non-motorized boat access.

Because renewals cost $10 less, revenues are proportionately less.
The wildlife plates provide about 95 percent of state-based nongame wildlife program funding, which includes annual bald eagle counts and the Idaho Birding Trail as well as the Project WILD and Wildlife Express conservation education programs for teachers and students. The money also provides critical matching dollars for federal grants and partnerships with federal natural resource agencies.

Wildlife plates are available at the vehicle licensing offices of every county assessor. For information, or to buy a wildlife plate contact the local county assessor: http://itd.idaho.gov/dmv/vehicleservices/assessor.htm ; or the Department of Transportation Special Plates-Registration Services Section on the Internet at http://www.itd.idaho.gov/dmv/Vehicleservices/registr.htm ; or by phone at 208-334-8649.

http://www.greatfreedomadventures.com/block-island-ri-vacations.html

On all trips, guests may use their own bikes or rent them for $90 for the trip.

While biking is the main daily activity, none is a bike-compulsive itinerary. Company founder Jeanne Rummel has sleuthed out artisanal cheese-making farms, micro breweries, sunset sails, hiking trails, iconic homesteads, mansions, gardens and more to engage the curious in ways that allow them to discover new worlds.

Rummel has selected upscale lodges that mirror their locales and that also bring a diversity of proprietors into each regional and cultural mix.

The programs include some lunches and all but one dinner so that guests can get explore local eateries on their own now and then. Lodging, all breakfasts, most meals, guides, van support, entrance fees where required and other region-specific costs are included in the tour rate, with the exception of alcoholic beverages and guide gratuities.

Rummel, who has been arranging and running bike and other active tours for 13 years, is passionate about engaging her guests in green destinations and at a pace of low impact travel mandated by bicycle that allows the spirits of the riders to connect with the green around them.

“There is nothing like the physical and mental high that comes from reaching your destination under your own power after a day spent cycling through beautiful surroundings in the company of friends or family. I’ve seen it time after time with people young and old and it’s really quite remarkable. People are just happier by the end of the day. They feel as if they have really accomplished something and they’ve had fun doing it,” said Rummel.

Emerging research supports Rummel’s claims regarding the benefits of green exercise. Recent studies show that such exercise is a potentially powerful solution to improving both the physical and mental health of individuals while reducing health care costs.
The health benefits of exercise alone are well established and include reducing blood pressure, combating heart disease, increasing serotonin levels in the brain, controlling blood glucose levels, fostering weight management, improving efficiency of the cardiovascular system for increased energy, and slowing of the aging process.

The benefits of green exercise appear from recent research to be greater than the sum of its parts. USA Today recently published an analysis of 10 separate studies showing that the largest positive health changes occurred when people exercised outside.

Additionally, outdoor exercise encourages more complex movements on varied surfaces, resulting in greater development of balance, coordination, and muscle groups which stabilize the body. Engaging in these activities as a group facilitates social connectivity which brings its own set of mental and physical health benefits. Activities such as cycling, hiking and walking, have been found to confer the extensive benefits of green exercise.

Nature Air New Route to Nicaragua

March 26, 2011 on 9:22 am | In Adventure Travel, Airlines, Beachbooker, Central America, Nicaragua | Comments Off

Nature Air
WEB: http://www.natureair.com

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – The World’s fir st carbon-neutral airline, Nature Air, announces a new scheduled route between San Jose, Costa Rica and Managua, Nicaragua.

The afternoon flight will depart from San Jose’s Tobías Bolaños International Airport with a stop in Liberia before continuing on to Managua, giving passengers the option to connect from most of the regional airline’s other destinations in Costa Rica and Panama.

The route is in the final stages of approval, with the inaugural flight set to depart on March 2, 2011.

This will be the first flight connecting Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste, with Nicaragua.

In 2010, there were a record number of arrivals coming into Liberia’s Daniel Oduber International Airport.

With an airport expansion underway, the airline hopes to cater to both businessmen and tourists, who prefer to avoid the 6-hour journey by land and lengthy waits at the border.

Nature Air is working directly with Nicaragua’s Tourism Board INTUR to offer additional services to visitors including ground transportation and vacation packages to the popular cultural and historic centers of Granada and Leon, as well as natural destinations like Masaya, the islands of Ometepe, and the beach and surf town of San Juan del Sur.

Until Nature Air’s entrance into the Central American airline market in 2000, traveling to such attractive locales in Central America was tedious at best. Unreliable air service, poor road conditions and the subsequent long journey by bus or car made it nearly impossible for visitors to explore some of the most desirable domestic destinations and neighboring countries.

“Costa Rica has been one of the most popular holiday destinations in recent years, and neighboring countries like Nicaragua have seen a significant amount of visitors traveling over the border to visit nearby tourist destinations,” Nature Air Marketing Director Claire Saylor said.

“With increasingly shorter vacations and greater expectations from travelers, Nature Air recognizes the need to offer more flights in Central America,” Saylor added.

“With our recent increase in frequency of flights to Bocas Del Toro, Panama and our newest route addition to Nicaragua, we are allowing people to visit more unique destinations in fewer days.”

In addition, the airline added a new daily route between San Jose and the Nicoya Peninsula departing at 4:30 p.m., and a direct flight between Quepos and Arenal, which they will be releasing promotional deals on later this month.

For pricing, flight schedules, and a complete list of destinations offered by Nature Air, visit www.natureair.com  or call 1-800-235-9272.
