KLM Set to Begin Service to Harare, Zimbabwe

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said it would begin operating flights to Harare, Zimbabwe, on Oct. 29, 2012. The Zimbabwean capital will be served in combination with the new KLM destination in Lusaka, Zambia.

KLM will operate service from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Harare International Airport three times a week in combination with Lusaka, Zambia. KLM will also offer 11 weekly services to Harare via Nairobi in cooperation with Kenya Airways, which is undergoing rapid development in terms of fleet expansion and new destinations.

Flight KL523 will be operated with an Airbus A330-200 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from Schiphol at 10:20 a.m. and arriving in Harare on the same day at 9:25 p.m. The return leg of the round-trip has the same flight number, KL523, leaving Harare at 10:30 p.m. the same day, with an intermediate landing in Lusaka. The flight arrives in Amsterdam the following morning at 10:20 a.m.
