New Nonstop East Coast – Hawai‘i Service
Getting to Kaua‘i from the East Coast will be a lot easier with the launch of two new direct flights to Honolulu from both New York City and Washington, DC.
On June 5, Hawaiian Airlines, Hawai‘i’s hometown carrier, launched daily nonstop service between New York City’s JFK Airport and Honolulu, making this the only direct flight between the two cities. Hawaiian is using its new 294-seat Airbus A330-200 aircraft to operate the route. With
a 3:00 p.m. arrival in Honolulu, New York visitors can make several easy flight connections to Kaua‘i.
On June 7, United Airlines began daily nonstop service between Washington, DC’s Dulles International Airport and Honolulu. United will use Boeing 767-400 aircraft in providing the only nonstop service between the two points. www.united.com
