Thai-Inspired I SPA to Open First Locations in Thailand

I SPA operates 15 spas in China and will open new spas in five-star hotels in Bangkok and Puget and will launch the boutique “I SPA life” brand in August. I SPA began with one spa in Beijing in 2005, now it operates spas in Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Tangshan, Nanjing, Xian and Sanya.
I SPA plans to bring a range of health and beauty therapies from China, India, Indonesia and Japan to Thailand. I SPA opened its first Thai spa at The Landmark Bangkok on Sukhumi Road on Aug. 1 on the hotel’s ninth floor. It features 10 treatment rooms with 12 spa beds and four foot therapy rooms with five loungers. The company is negotiating with other hotels in Thailand and Cambodia in order to expand the I SPA and I SPA life brands.
I SPA opened a training center in Bangkok in last August and has already sent several Thai therapists for on-the-job training at various I SPA outlets in China. I SPA therapists must pass 10 weeks of theoretical and practical training and two weeks of practice with model guests. I SPA is scheduled to open more spas in Beijing and Hangzhou this year.
