I SPA operates 15 spas in China and will open new spas in five-star hotels in Bangkok and Puget and will launch the boutique “I SPA life” brand in August. I SPA began with one spa in Beijing in 2005, now it operates spas in Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Tangshan, Nanjing, Xian and Sanya.
I SPA plans to bring a range of health and beauty therapies from China, India, Indonesia and Japan to Thailand. I SPA opened its first Thai spa at The Landmark Bangkok on Sukhumi Road on Aug. 1 on the hotel’s ninth floor. It features 10 treatment rooms with 12 spa beds and four foot therapy rooms with five loungers. I SPA therapists must pass 10 weeks of theoretical and practical training and two weeks of practice with model guests. I SPA is scheduled to open more spas in Beijing and Hangzhou this year.
