HomeAirlinesSilver Airways to Expand Intra-Florida Route Network in January

Silver Airways, Florida’s hometown airline, announced it will further boost its intra-state network in January with the launch of two new routes — Fort Lauderdale-Orlando and West Palm Beach-Tampa.

Flights along the new routes are on sale now for service beginning Jan. 7.

“For our customers in Florida, the continued expansion of our intra-state network presents a convenient, cost-effective alternative to driving benefiting both business and leisure travelers,” said Darrell Richardson, CEO of Silver Airways.

“We’re proud to be the number one carrier in our home state, and look forward to serving even more of Florida in the months to come.”

While both new routes carry tremendous potential to boost the leisure market, the West Palm Beach flights are also particularly well positioned for business travel as the service continues on to Tallahassee via Tampa.

“If your business regularly takes you between West Palm Beach and Tallahassee, you’re going to love our new flights,” Richardson said.

“Driving between the two cities takes close to seven hours, but with our new service through Tampa, you can make the trip in two hours and 35 minutes. Business travelers save time and money, travel more comfortably and can maximize their productivity by getting work done in-flight.”

Silver Airways will deploy its flagship Saab 340Bplus aircraft on its new Florida routes.
