Peppers ‘Wine Wars’: Australia’s Greatest Wine Regions Go Into Battle

July 5, 2013 on 3:47 pm | In Australia, Dine Drink, Tasmania | Comments Off

The Peppers Gourmet Food Trail launched in August 2012 continues to wind its way down Australia’s east coast with a new ‘Wine Wars’ series of events promoting healthy regional rivalry and the celebration of fine food and wine.

‘Wine Wars’ is a light-hearted series of events bringing ‘rival’ winemakers from Australia’s greatest wine regions together to compete at select Peppers retreats and resorts. Palates will be put to the test with guests asked to vote on their favourite wine for each course and at the end of the evening, the winning ‘Wine Wars’ winemaker will be revealed.

Accompanying the wines, guests will be treated to a degustation dinner prepared by Peppers chefs in foodie locales such as the Hunter Valley, Kingscliff in Northern NSW, the picturesque Southern Highlands of NSW and Palm Cove in Tropical North Queensland.

Details of the ‘Wine Wars’ events are listed below and online at www.peppers.com.au/food/winewars-list-of-events/ :
