The Globus family of brands is offering five Small Group Discovery tours and six Monograms independent programs in Africa for 2014 and is marketing them with an emphasis on adventures, activities and experiences.
“From game watching and wine tastings to tented camp stays and tribal visits, in 2014, we’re providing travelers unparalleled experiences,” said Scott Nisbet, Globus’ president and CEO.
The experiences include such examples as visiting a local Maasai village; breakfast in the bush in Serengeti National Park; visiting a local home, farm and school in the Mto Wa Mbu village; a Malay cooking class in Cape Town; and closely observing a family of meerkats.
The Small Group Discovery tours, which are escorted vacations for groups of 20 or fewer, start under $3,500. They range in length from 10 to 17 days and include programs for Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The Monograms programs start at $2,519. Prices are per person double occupancy, land only. Monograms programs range from nine to 20 days in length. The Monograms line offers opportunities to track gorillas in Uganda or lounge on a beach in Zanzibar. New for 2014 is the Monograms 11-day Wilds of Botswana and Victoria Falls program. It includes a chance to mingle with San Bushmen in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and travel by mokora (a canoe) in the Okavango Delta.
Globus is offering an early booking incentive of a $250 per person air credit.
