Touted as a ‘one-of-a-kind, pre-flight meal with full tableside service,’ it will be rolled out next year at New York JFK, Miami, Dallas and Los Angeles.
The service will initially be offered exclusively to First Class flyers travelling on international and transcontinental flights.
“Flagship Dining is something no other US carrier has offered, and this separates us from the competition. It makes American a clear choice for the customer who expects a refined, personal touch when they fly,” said the airline’s chief marketing officer Andrew Nocella.
Vice president of global marketing, Fernand Fernandez said: We want our customers to have a luxurious escape no matter the reason for their trip. Our goal is to deliver chef-driven creations and local flavours, giving customers a five-star restaurant experience.”
In addition to the Flagship Lounge upgrades at its main hubs, American is also adding Admirals Club Lounges at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Orlando International.
