Early 2017: Scotland Yard Hotel, Westminster
The original Scotland Yard police station is being transformed into a new five-star luxury hotel following a £50 million refurbishment the historic building. Hotel operator Accor is opening an 80-room hotel in Leicester Square under the MGallery brand in late 2016. It has also started work on the 583-room Ibis Styles Piccadilly Circus hotel, which is due to open in 2017 on the site of the Trocadero Centre between Shaftesbury Avenue and Coventry Street. Summer 2018: Cumberland Hotel to become Britain’s first Hard Rock Hotel

2019: Robert De Niro to open luxury boutique hotel in London
The Oscar-winning actor’s plans to open the 83-room Wellington Hotel in Covent Garden have been approved. The hotel will have a spa, private members club, two restaurants and a retail area. Work will start next year, managed by BD Hotels.

All aboard the 1960s vintage double-decker bus transformed into a luxury B&B retreat complete with private garden and hot tub! The bus was previously used on the World Cup celebration route in 1966 but is now stationed in the grounds of country hotel, South Causey Inn. The top deck is now a red velvet-covered bedroom, while the bottom is a bathroom with a roll top bath and flat screen TV. Bus guests are greeted with canapes and prosecco and provided with fluffy dressing gowns and Egyptian cotton sheets. Many of the vehicle’s original features remain, including steering, some seats, and signs showing its old route through London. Quirky features like a black front door similar to that of No.10 Downing Street have been added.
