 Explore, the adventure travel specialists, have launched eight brand new ‘Explore Beyond’ trips. Explore Beyond offers a pioneering travel experience to unforgettable destinations such as cruising through the tropical waters of West Papua, exploring the remote villages of the Ivory Coast or experiencing the Adivasi Tribal Fair in east India.

Explore’s new 17 day West Papua Seatrek boards a traditional vessel to discover the remote island communities of West Papua in the far-eastern frontier of Indonesia. Paddle past towering karsts in kayaks with the opportunity to spot colourful Birds of Paradise, snorkel the pristine coral reefs of Raja Ampat and visit the remote communities to learn about their way of life. There’s also time to discover the harbour town of Makassar on the island of Sulawesi and take a cookery course with a local family. The Ivory Coast is finally opening up to travellers and this trip spends 13 days discovering the remote villages of this West African nation. There’s also the opportunity to meet with witch doctors and learn about the notion of spiritual possession in local culture. This trip departs on the 25 November 2017 and costs from £2,999 per person. Travel from Belem to Manaus on the new 16 day Brazilian Amazon by Boat trip. Explore the incredible ecosystem of The Amazon and journey along its vast waterways on different styles of boats, visiting thriving traditional communities along the way. Explore’s Tribes and Temples of Orissa spends 14 days exploring the fascinating east coast of India. Meet the tribal people at the Adivasi Tribal Fair where their cultures and traditions are celebrated, wander around the colourful remote markets where people from the Bonda tribes come – their only interaction with the wider world – and discover the temples at Bhubaneshwar and Puri, one of the four most holy pilgrimage sites for Hindus. This trip departs on 21 January 2018 and costs from £2,199 per person.
