Google is getting serious about travel e-commerce.
It is combining all of its travel services into a single platform simply called ‘Trips.’.
When visiting google.com/travel the Trips landing page displays Google flights and Google hotels search, destination content and articles, Google map itinerary planning and attractions listings.
For users logged in and currently tracking flight prices via a Google search, the Trips page displays any updated price changes.
It will soon show previously viewed hotels.
As well as individual hotel and flight searches, users can use the ‘packages’ tab to book inclusive flight and hotel packages.
The service enhances the existing Trips app functionality for desktop by integrating all its travel-related tools together.
“As we continue to evolve Google Trips, we are making this information more accessible,” Google said.
