GM” program from Las Terrazas, the PADI 5-star resort in Belize. Beyond the local marine life, guests at the resort can now get up close and personal with another big fish underwater, the resort’s General Manager Julian Burton.
With dives offered every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (tide and visibility permitting), advanced divers staying at Las Terrazas can enjoy deep-sea exploration of the Caribbean Sea to hot spots like Christ of the Abyss, a submerged 8 ½ foot, 4,000 pound bronze statue of Christ, and Tunnels of Love, a set of tunnels with rock bridges and arches where divers can swim with marine life like stingrays, tropical fish, Octopi, Eels and even nurse sharks. Both dives are 90 feet deep.
General Manager Julian Burton is a qualified dive master, rescue diver and first aid responder. He has completed more than 1,000 dives in his lifetime, specializing in deep diving, wreck diving, perfect peak buoyancy, drift diving and underwater mapping. He has dove the waters of Brazil, the Caribbean, Africa, the Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, China Sea, Gulf of Thailand, Australia and Red Sea.
