World famous for its ski resorts of Deer Valley and Park City Mountain, Park City’s reputation as a summer destination continues to flourish. With a daily non-stop flight with Delta Airlines from London Heathrow to Salt Lake City, getting there is easy. In addition, the transfer time from Salt Lake City airport to Park City is just 35 minutes by shuttle. Once there, the superb free public transport system makes getting around really easy.
Amid the grandeur of the Wasatch Mountain Range, Park City is home to every type of lodging from spacious condos through to some of the finest hotels to be found in the mountains, and all available at attractive prices during the summer. At a more leisurely pace, Park City is reknown for its shopping in the Historic District, where many buildings date from the 19th century when Park City was a major silver mining town. As well as the boutiques and galleries in the Historic District, bars and restaurants are numerous, catering for all tastes and budgets. These include High West Whiskey Distillery and Saloon and Robert Redford’s restaurant, Zoom. (Park City has long hosted the Sundance Film Festival, founded by Robert Redford).
As summer progresses there are music festivals, food festivals, the weekly Park Silly Sunday Market and sporting events galore. Many hotels have classy spas or start the day with a morning yoga session in the glorious mountain sunshine.
