Car rental giant Enterprise Holdings is acquiring San Francisco-based corporate travel tech firm Deem.
Enterprise has been investing in Deem since 2016.
Deem’s software is used by about 50,000 corporate clients
The companies did not share details of the deal, which is expected to close in the first quarter of 2019.
Deem will continue operating separately from its Bay Area head office and current CEO John F. Rizzo will remain at the helm.
Deem also has an overseas base in Bangalore, India.
“Deem’s combination of intellectual property and tech talent represents a significant opportunity to further enhance and expand our portfolio of services,” said Greg Stubblefield, Enterprise’s EVP and chief strategy officer.
Deem leverages machine learning, AI and predictive analytics with various tools such as travel manager cost controls and travel agency service tech.
“We know the industry wants travel management solutions that transform the traveler experience, while lowering corporations’ costs,” said Rizzo.
