Budget carrier AirAsia has officially penned a partnership agreement with ride-sharing app Uber.
It allows AirAsia customers to schedule rides to or from airports up to a month ahead of their flight.
This can be done either when booking, confirming or checking in for their flight online.
The partnership comprises 52 cities in 16 countries across the Asia-Pacific regioon and in Hawaii where both companies operate.
Free or discounted rides are up for grabs for new Uber users with the ‘AIRASIA’ promo cide.
“Working with Uber allows our guests to plan their entire trip from the moment they step out of their home right until they arrive at their destination, providing amazing travel comfort and peace of mind,” said AirAsia Group CEO Tony Tony Fernandes.
“By working together, we can provide a service that allows customers to request their Uber ride to the airport in step with their itinerary and have their Uber driver partner waiting for them when their flight lands,” said Uber’s chief business officer for Asia Pacific, Brooks Entwistle.
