This morning, the airline announced that non-executive director Adele Anderson is to step down after seven years in the role.
She told the board that she will quit following the annual general meeting on February 7, 2019. She will also step down from her position as chair of the Audit Committee on January 1.
Julie Southern, who joined the easyJet board on August 1 this year will become chair of the Audit Committee.
Chairman John Barton said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Adele for her important contribution over the past seven years to the easyJet Board and specifically in her role as Audit Committee Chair. She has brought deep understanding and acumen to her responsibilities and she leaves us with our gratitude and best wishes.”
“I am very pleased to welcome Julie as Audit Committee Chair. Given her commercially oriented finance roles gained over her long and successful career, and in particular the aviation sector, she will bring valuable perception and insights to this important role.”~Follow and Share with Jetsettersblog.
