Frontier Airlines has announced six new routes from Fort Myers, Florida.
The ultra low-cost carrier announced Tuesday that the new flights from Fort Myers to Albany, New York; Las Vegas; Phoenix; Portland, Maine; Salt Lake City and Syracuse, New York will begin this November.
The additions are significant as Frontier will be the only airline offering nonstop service on five of the six new routes. What’s more, for a limited time, travelers can take advantage of celebratory fares as low as $49.
Frontier will operate three weekly flights between Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Phoenix and Syracuse starting November 15 and two weekly flights between Fort Myers and Portland and Salt Lake City November 16. Seasonal service to Albany and Las Vegas will begin November 17.
“With these additions, Frontier will offer nonstop service during the busy winter travel season to a total of 23 cities, the most of any airline at RSW,” Jeff Mulder, executive director of the Lee County Port Authority said in a statement.
“The response from the Fort Myers community to our Low Fares Done Right mission has been tremendous,” added Frontier’s Senior Vice President, Commercial, Daniel Shurz. “With this winter’s schedule, we will offer a great range of destinations to customers traveling to or from Fort Myers.”
Frontier will also resume seasonal service between Fort Myers and Omaha, Nebraska on November 17.
Tuesday’s news comes one month after the airline announced it was adding flights between North Carolina‘s Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and six new cities, including Cancun, Montego Bay, and Punta Cana.
