India’s largest carrier IndiGo has announced a slew of new routes and added frequencies across the country.
A total of 20 new flights will launch from July, including the first nonstop flights linking Kolkata to Chandigarh and Indore.
Other new nonstops include Chandigarh-Srinagar and Indore to Nagpur.
Bengaluru gets several more flights with a second daily service to Varanasi and Chandigarh and a third daily flight to Ranchi and Indore.
“IndiGo is reinforcing its commitment to on-time performance by announcing new frequencies from Chandigarh, Varanasi, Ranchi, Indore and Tiruchirappalli connecting Bengaluru,” said chief commercial officer Sanjay Kumar.
“Kolkata-Chandigarh, Kolkata-Indore and Chandigarh-Srinagar have also emerged as sectors that have started attracting both leisure and business passengers in the recent past and hold immense potential for IndiGo.”
The carrier operates a fleet of nearly 160 aircraft and recently reached a milestone for India aviation by surpassing 1,000 flights a a day for the first time.Follow and Share with Jetsettersblog.
