JetBlue is encouraging Bostonians to ‘trade their scarves for swimsuits’ this winter with new flights to sunny Palm Springs.
The airline will begin seasonal service from Boston to Palm Springs International from Valentine’s Day and becomes the 70th destination served out of Boston.
It is the only route serving the SoCal desert resort town from New England.
The airline is also extending its seasonal service to PSP from New York JFK.
This year the service expands to October 10 through May 27 and operates daily during the peak season from February 14, 2019 through April 30.
It also announced additional Saturday flights with premium Mint service from JFK to Palm Springs during peak travel weekends in January and February.
“New Boston service, combined with this season’s expanded New York schedule, means a winter warm-up is easier than ever, and also makes JetBlue the leading airline flying nonstop between Palm Springs and the northeast,” said Andrea Lusso, JetBlue director of route planning.
Scott White, president and CEO of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau said: “Our growing relationship with JetBlue and this highly anticipated flight between Palm Springs and Boston represents JetBlue’s increased confidence in Greater Palm Springs as a destination that appeals to East Coast travelers.”
