Ryanair has opened a new base at Memmingen today and launched six new routes from the German airport for summer 2018.
In total, it will operate 19 routes from Memmingen, including five flights a week to London. It expects to handle 860,000 passengers at the airport, which is its 10th base in Germany.
The new routes added today are to Fez, Oradea, Seville, Stockholm, Thessaloniki and Warsaw. It will also operate extra flights to Alicante.
Ryanair said its summer and winter flights from Memmingen were attracting record bookings. Spokesman Kenny Jacobs added: “Our based aircraft represents an investment of $100m, which further underlines our commitment to growing traffic, tourism and jobs in Bavaria and we look forward to working closely with our airport partners to deliver further growth in Germany.”
