Ryanair is to invest a further $300 million at Manchester airport, where it will base an additional three aircraft this summer.
It has also added 10 new summer routes to Agadir, Almeria, Barcelona Reus, Belfast, Cagliari, Palermo, Ponta Delgada, Porto, Rhodes, and Venice Treviso and more flights on existing services.
In total, it will offer an extra 300,000 seats on 57 routes, with the aim of carrying 4.9 million customers this year. It will have 12 aircraft based at Manchester during the summer peak, from June to September.
Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said: “Over the past four years, Manchester has been one of our fastest growing bases in the UK and this year summer numbers will grow again by a further 9%.”
