Virgin Atlantic is launching a new route between Las Vegas and London Heathrow that will debut in spring 2019.
The new Virgin flights to Las Vegas will be operated by Boeing 787 aircraft offering a choice of 31 Upper-Class seats, 35 premium seats, and 192 economy seats. The official launch date for the service will be March 31.
“From spring 2019 we’re making it even easier for customers to travel from Las Vegas and Boston to London Heathrow by introducing new flights,” Virgin Atlantic chief commercial officer Shai Weiss said in a statement. “The new services have been timed to offer convenient onward connections for US and UK customers, and feature our award-winning service, a three-course meal and in-flight entertainment on every flight. We’re also pleased to bring back our popular seasonal service between London Heathrow and Barbados to offer even more choice for holidaymakers.”
Virgin is also introducing a second daily Boston flight to London on March 31, as well as the return of the popular seasonal flights to Barbados. The new Boston service will be operated by an Airbus A330-300 and make around 100,000 additional seats available between the East Coast and the United Kingdom.
The seasonal flights to Barbados will be the only direct connection between the London hub and the Caribbean island. The service will operate between December 11 and February 19, 2019.
“Virgin Atlantic is going from strength-to-strength this year – with a second daily flight to Boston, a new flight to Las Vegas and the return of the popular Barbados service – Heathrow passengers are set to have even more choice to getaway for business or pleasure this summer,” Heathrow CEO John Holland-Kaye said.
