Wizz Air has announced further expansion at its Luton base, with the allocation of an additional Airbus A321 aircraft.
This addition brings the total number of aircraft allocated at Luton to eight and the total investment to $860 million.
The additional aircraft takes yearly capacity on the company’s low-fare routes from Luton to 7.4 million seats, representing 23% growth year-on-year.
In addition, from April 19, Wizz Air will increase its five-times-a-week Chisinau, Moldova service to daily and expand its Bucharest flights from 21 to 25 a week.
Wizz Air is holding open days for anyone interested in working as cabin crew.
The first takes place at the Holiday Inn, Gatwick, on February 8, with three being held at the Ibis Hotel at Luton Airport, on February 9, 20 and 27.
