Hard Rock International plans to open in its fourth Florida location with the unveiling of plans for Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach.
The 200-room resort is expected to open later this year and comes with signature Hard Rock amenities.
These include a Body Rock gym, a Rock Spa, 20,000 square feet of meeting space, kids club and a swimming pool.
It will open on a beachfront location currently occupied by the Desert Inn.
Hard Rock is partnering with Summit Hospitality Management Group for a complete renovation which will cost about $40 million.
“We’re thrilled to bring our product to visitors and locals alike in Daytona Beach,” said Marco Roca, Hard Rock International executive vice president of global hotel development.
Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau executive director Lori Campbell Baker described it as a ‘perfect fit’ for the area.
“The transformation of this property really speaks to the fact that the destination is in the midst of a major resurgence. We’re excited to add Hard Rock to our accommodations line-up.”
